After the discussion in class I still have the same perception, so to speak. I think that if you want to help them out take them out to get food so they don’t spend their money on alcohol or drugs. I have had some experiences with people asking for a couple of bucks and at the time I was at my church for a Wednesday night youth meeting and we offered to take him to get some food but he gave us an excuses about how he didn’t have time for us to take him. It wasn’t quite as funny then as it is now but now you know what his plans are for the money that he wanted us to give to him. Everyone’s conditions are different and you don’t really know why someone is out in the streets until you talk to them, but I think that if you don’t take the time to help them out then, as a person, your morels are really screwed up, and you are only aiding their addictions. So to sum everything up I would rather help someone out by taking them somewhere and buy food or a drink or whatever for them so that I know they used it for something useful and not to buy alcohol or drugs.
